This is absolutely true. The “west” exists because it = its Judeo Christian foundation. We have forgotten the very basis - that the rights of each individual and every thing good are bestowed upon us by gd and the development that government exists to PROTECT those rights bestowed by gd. We have forgotten this because enlightenment thinking has obscured the source of all rights, all beauty, all good, that is, gd, and has led us to forget about that source and to instead put our trust in man and the material world only. And why has atheism become so prevalent? Big problem. It’s frightening because so many many of us will face a reckoning - maybe soon. We’ve had an easy ride for the last maybe 100 years and it’s coming to a fork in the road.

I really understand what you mean when you say you don’t follow a religion/you just have Christian values and I think many people are like that, and that everyone falls short of the ideal. And I know some people are agnostic (true atheist would not be included here). Even so, coming from any of those angles, I think that IF we could understand that what we value about “western” culture is based on our rights having been bestowed on us by a greater power because we respect human life, and that our government protects our rights and does not give us our rights, then we would be better able to protect western culture from those who work to undermine it. So I think that’s very very important right now.

I’m don’t follow a particular religion but I do try to live by Christian values. I think your comment is 100% correct.
